Word of Life has a team of prayer warriors ready to pray for you. The team meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. [map and directions] to pray for the morning worship and other needs. Also, prayer partners will be available to pray with you or for you after worship. Just come to the right side of the worship area. Building a Bigger Heaven in Brazil This Sunday morning we will be praying for Pastor Tealmo Percheron, the staff and children at Holy Trinity Institute, an orphanage in southern Brazil. Word of Life supports Holy Trinity through the Brazil Mission Society (BMS). Ten percent of our regular offerings are given to BMS. Join us on Saturday, November 8 for a trip to a NEW maze just outside of Marion, TX. We’ll meet at the Mitschke’s (1531 Jasmine Dr.) at 5:30 p.m. to carpool together for the short trip to the Schmoekel Farm. Bring a picnic supper for your family and wear tennis shoes. We’ll have a picnic on the grounds, a chance to get lost in the maze, s’mores by the campfire and, for brave souls, a chance to go back through the maze after dark! Group admission to the Maze is just $5/person (children 2 and under are free.) If you’re interested in shooting the air cannon, you’ll want to bring some quarters. Operation Christmas Child Help send a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Shoebox collection will be Sunday, November 23. For complete details, pick up an Operation Christmas Child brochure from the Info Table this Sunday. This brochure includes a list of suggested items to include in the box and some items that should NOT be included. Kyle Castens, from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO, is interested in meeting with prospective seminary students of all ages—elementary school age through adults who are already employed in another vocation. Removing the Veil of Islam All women, high school age and older, are invited to hear Kimberly Idress, a former Muslim, share her testimony. In her 30’s, Kimberly converted to Islam. Thankfully, God delivered her and opened her eyes and heart to Jesus. Come hear Kimberly’s story and find out more about Islam, Saturday, November 15 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6914 Wurzbach Rd. He told the class he was going to prove there is no a God. He said, "God if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!" Ten minutes went by. He kept taunting God, saying, "Here I am God, I'm still waiting." He got down to the last couple of minutes and a BIG 290 pound football player happened to walk by the door and heard about what the professor had said. The football player walked in the classroom and in the last minute, he walked up, hit the professor full force, and sent him flying off the platform. The professor got up, obviously shaken and said, "Why did you do that?" The football player replied, "God was busy. He sent me."
