The Trust Test
Every one of us comes to a place where either we cross a line that says, "Yes, I do trust God," or we stay back because we really don't. It's at this line, the Trust Test Line that we either grow beautiful spiritually as we cross it, or we back away from the line and begin to shrivel spiritually because we're unwilling to let God take control of our life. By God's grace and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we'll let God take control of our life. We’ll pass the trust test and reach our God given potential starting this Sunday, November 23 at 10:45 a.m. 101 Pecan Drive, in Schertz [map and directions].

Operation Christmas Child
Bring your gift filled shoeboxes this Sunday! Have questions about what to include? Log on to www.samaritanspurse.org or contact Patti Mitschke, 566-1650. Don’t want to fill a shoebox, but still want to help? You can make a monetary donation to help cover the cost of shipping the shoeboxes overseas. It costs about $7/box. Place your donation in the Operation Christmas Child envelope at worship this Sunday (make checks payable to Word of Life.)

Movers & Shakers (ages 2-4)

J.A.M. (ages 5-8)

Just for Tweens (ages 9-12)
Kids ages 9—12 are invited to be a part of Tweens, a group specially designed for them. Join them on Sunday during the LifeLesson portion of worship for this fun learning experience. Want to know more? Call David White at 650-3166.
Grace Prayer Team
Know the miraculous power of prayer. Word of Life has a team of prayer warriors ready to pray for you. The team meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. [map and directions] to pray for the morning worship and other needs. Also, prayer partners will be available to pray with you or for you after worship. Just come to the right side of the worship area.

Building a Bigger Heaven in Brazil
In our prayers this Sunday, we’re praying for Pastor Biindchen and Castelo Forte (A Mighty Fortress) Lutheran Church in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Members of Castelo Forte barely have the funds to live from day-to-day, much less support a pastor. We support this group with our prayers and financial support through the Brazil Mission Society. Ten percent of our regular Sunday morning offerings are given to this missionary organization.

Festival of the Angels
Our youth will once again sponsor their photo booth at the Schertz Festival of the Angels celebration on Friday, December 5 at Pickrell Park. Event festivities include a lighted parade from Clemens High School to the park, sledding down “Mt. Schertz” and performances by area choirs/clubs. Word of Life youth are encourage to sign up with Sherlyn to work the photo booth. Set-up will begin at 5:45 p.m. Contact Sherlyn at 566-2579.
Women’s Christmas Party
All Word of Life women, their friends and their confirmation aged and older daughters are invited to join us for a special Christmas Party on Sunday, December 14, from 4:00—6:30 p.m. at the home of Shirley Goeke 21927 Paseo Corto Dr., Garden Ridge Attendees are asked to bring:
a finger food to share
an ornament to exchange
a gift for a resident of the New Life Children’s Treatment Center
We will learn more about the ministry of New Life during the evening. The program contains information of a sensitive nature, so we ask that all attendees be confirmation age and older. New Life has a list of specific items needed by their residents. Some of the items include:

Stickers
Rugs
Hair gel
House shoes
Posters
Fun pillows
Stuffed animals
Short or ankle socks

Just a Thought
At a church meeting a very wealthy man rose to tell the rest of those present about his Christian faith. "I'm a millionaire," he said, "and I attribute it all to the rich blessings of God in my life. I remember that turning point in my faith. I had just earned my first dollar and I went to a church meeting that night. The speaker was a missionary who told about his work. I knew that I only had a dollar bill and had to either give it all to God's work or nothing at all. So at that moment I decided to give my whole dollar to God. I believe that God blessed that decision, and that is why I am a rich man today." He finished and there was an awed silence at his testimony as he moved toward his seat. As he sat down a little old lady sitting in the same pew leaned over and said to him: "I dare you to do it again."
