Financial Peace in Turbulent Times The wealthiest man who ever lived actually wrote a book of the Bible. Even Bill Gates had nothing on Solomon, king of Israel. Solomon ate from plates of solid gold. He was also the wisest man who ever lived. Fortunately, he wrote down God-given principles for financial peace in a book called Proverbs. Discover financial peace in turbulent times this Sunday, February 22 at 10:45 a.m. 101 Pecan Drive, in Schertz [map and directions]. You may be wondering why students would be willing to not only give their time, but also give up eating for 30 hours when they participate in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. It’s simple: they are going without food so that others can eat. But there’s more to World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine than simply not eating. One of the many reasons groups do the 30 Hour Famine is to grow closer together—to create camaraderie by working side-by-side toward a common goal. Another tangible result of the Famine comes through the simple act of going without food on behalf of children half a world away, drawing participants closer to Christ. They experience compassion, feeling the hunger of children who don’t have a choice about their own circumstances. Please continue to pray for the students in our congregation as they prepare to participate in the 30 Hour Famine, March 7 & 8. And consider how you can support their efforts to save kids’ lives through World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. Easter Plans It’s time to start thinking and planning our Word of Life Easter celebration. Just a Thought Almost half of Americans report having less than $5,000 in savings and investments, including 1 out of 10 who have none at all. Significantly, more than one-fourth of Americans did not save or invest any of their income in the past year. -Dr. Seymour Lieberman, Homemade Joy & Peace,![]() Pastor Ken Mitschke <()>< P.S.
