Love Won Out

Do you have a family member, friend or acquaintance who is homosexual? Focus on the Family cares and wants to help you respond in a Christ-like way. Nationally known Christian experts will address issues ranging from why some people struggle with same-sex attraction to the profound significance of God’s created intent for sexuality. (Pastor Ken attended a training seminar led by the keynote speakers and recommends this conference.) You’ll also be better equipped to articulate God’s truth within your family, church and culture.

This one-day conference is only held five times a year. We’re blessed that it will be held in San Antonio this year on Saturday, April 18 at Westover Hills Assembly of God (9340 Westover Hills Blvd). The registration fee is $50 in advance and $60 at the door. To register, call 1-800-AFAMILY or register online at www.lovewonout.com.

New LifeLesson Series Starts April 19!
One Month to Live

What would you do if you had one month to live? We’ll dig into this question and look to God's Word, specifically Psalm 90:12. This will have a profound impact on anyone's life regardless of where they are spiritually. This isn’t about how to add years to your life, rather how to add life to your years.
Next Week: Determining What Matters Most

Just a Thought

Dr. Joseph Hartounian, professor at McCormic Theological Seminary, came to America from Armenia. One day a well-meaning friend said to him, "Your name is difficult to pronounce and difficult to spell--it could hurt your professional career. Why don't you change your name to Harwood or Harwell or something like that?" Dr. Hartounian asked, "What do those names mean?" His friend said, "Well, nothing. They're just easier to remember." Dr. Hartounian said, "In Armenia, when my grandfather was baptized, they named him Hartounian which means 'Resurrection.' I am Joseph Hartounian and I will be a son of Resurrection all my days."

Joy & Peace,
Ken
