We're building a bigger heaven and better lives!

Thanks, Mom

Thanks to all the moms and families who joined us for worship last Sunday. We were able to give away several gifts to special moms. Check out the pictures from the morning.

One Month to Live

What would you do if you had one month to live? We’ll dig into this question and look to God's Word, specifically Psalm 90:12. This will have a profound impact on anyone's life regardless of where they are spiritually. This isn’t about how to add years to your life, rather how to add life to your years.

This Sunday: Leaving a Legacy

We hope to see you this Sunday, May 17 at 10:45 a.m. 101 Pecan Drive, in Schertz [map and directions].

Know the miraculous power of prayer. Word of Life has a team of prayer warriors ready to pray for you. The team meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. [map and directions] to pray for the morning worship and other needs. Also, prayer partners will be available to pray with you or for you after worship. RACAP Summer Food Drive

School will soon be out for the summer months and that means that many area children will be on their own for meals. RACAP is collecting summer staples to help families make it through the upcoming season. Ideas include: peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, tuna, canned/boxed pasta, cereal, etc… Place your donations in the RACAP box in the lobby this Sunday.

Blood Donations Needed

Amanda Conniff, Jayme Edward’s 14 year old niece, continues her battle against cancer. Amanda has had a difficult struggle and has needed a great deal of blood. You can donate blood to “replace” the units used by Amanda. Go to any blood donation station and let them know you want to give a replacement donation for Amanda Conniff, a patient at Christus Santa Rosa Children’s hospital.

Thank You

"It was a great blessing to be able to speak to you about the Gideons the other week. Your love for the Word is obvious. Thank you for the $100 offering which will be used entirely to provide Scriptures in the traffic lanes of life. We pray for searching souls to be touched—and for souls to be saved—by way of these Scriptures. Thank you also for your gracious hospitality and prayerful support of the Gideon work. Sincerely, Alan B. Smith, San Antonio Northeast Camp"

Legacy Funny

The Smith's were proud of their family tradition. Their ancestors had come to America on the Mayflower. They had included Senators and Wall Street wizards. They decided to compile a family history, a legacy for their children and grandchildren. They hired a fine author. Only one problem arose - how to handle that great-uncle George, who was executed in the electric chair. The author said he could handle the story tactfully. The book appeared. It said "Great-uncle George occupied a chair of applied electronics at an important government institution, was attached to his position by the strongest of ties, and his death came as a great shock."

Just a Thought

He began His ministry by being hungry, yet He is the Bread of Life.
Jesus ended His earthly ministry by being thirsty, yet He is the Living Water.
Jesus was weary, yet He is our rest.
Jesus paid tribute, yet He is the King.
Jesus was accused of having a demon, yet He cast out demons.
Jesus wept, yet He wipes away our tears.
Jesus was sold for thirty pieces of silver, yet He redeemed the world.
Jesus was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, yet He is the Good Shepherd.
Jesus died, yet by His death He destroyed the power of death.
- Gregory of Nazianzus, A.D. 381
