Our missional mandate is to build a bigger heaven and better lives. A missional mandate is a mission, what someone in authority sends us to do.
Matthew 28:18-19a - Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.” (NIV)
There is ONE thing that won’t happen unless God’s people do it, make disciples.
Matthew 28:19b-20a - “Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (NIV)
There are TWO means (ways) by which God’s people make disciples: baptism and the Word.
Matthew 28:20b - “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)
There is ONE powerful presence which make this all possible, Jesus Christ.
