A man spends a day trying to claim all the land he can reach.
By sunset, all he needs is six feet.
Jesus tells of tenants who make the same mistake with a vineyard: they forget whose it is, reject the owner’s son, and try to seize the inheritance.
This Sunday, we’ll hear the warning in that story, and the astonishing gift at its center:
The rejected Heir is risen. His righteousness is given to us.
