45% of middle and high school students say their life is not useful – a huge increase from the 25% recorded in 2000 and up nearly 10% from the beginning of the pandemic (Monitoring the Future). The devaluation of human life and increase of purposelessness has led to increases in self-harm and other destructive behaviors and addictions. We have forgotten we are made and created for purpose.
