Resolving Conflict

Resolve everyday conflict using the four G’s of Biblical conflict resolution.

As holy people whom God has chosen and loved, be sympathetic, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Put up with each other, and forgive each other if anyone has a complaint. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Above all, be loving. This ties everything together perfectly. Also, let Christ’s peace control you. God has called you into this peace by bringing you into one body. Be thankful. – Colossians 3:12-15 (GW)

Happy Mothers’ Day – Impossible Expectations

Moms do so much for us and we’re thankful for everything they do. But more than that, moms are important and meaningful because of the relationships they nurture. Moms are a gift from God and loving mothers are women who reflect God’s own love to us.

A Death for Outsiders

The parable of the tenants is Jesus’ tragic and prophetic telling of the mercy of God for fallen humanity by imagining a loving landowner’s interactions with his spiteful and murderous tenants.

In this parable, Jesus was giving his hearers a big picture. Whether they understood it or not, it’s a reminder that God owns everything—the vineyard, Israel, the world, the harvest, and everything in between. The fictional tenants and servants, the real people back then, and people today don’t own themselves. Everything belongs to God, and we’re all accountable to him.
