Ever finish a conversation – and keep arguing your case all the way home?
The other person is gone. Court is still in session.
We spend so much of life trying to prove that we’re right, that we’re enough, that we deserve a place.
This Reformation Sunday, hear the word that brings our defenses to an end – and gives sinners a home. Jesus has been judged in your place – condemned to death in exchange for your life. His righteousness is yours by grace, through faith. And His forgiveness frees you to tell the truth, begin again, and love the person in front of you.
“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36
