Someone Has To Feed Them

Two tables are set in Matthew 14.

At one, a king sacrifices another person to protect himself.
At the other, the King gives Himself to save sinners.
One table ends in guilt. The other ends in forgiveness.

This Sunday, we will enter the wilderness with a grieving Savior, a hungry crowd, five loaves, two fish, and disciples who do not have enough. There we will discover that God is not embarrassed by our hunger – and that Christ never sees a crowd where there is a person to love.

We come to God with empty hands. Christ fills them. Then He turns us toward a hungry world.
