The Righteous Judge

Every fight seems to become a courtroom.

Someone wounds us. We rehearse the evidence, summon the witnesses, and call God to testify for the prosecution. Then we sit down in the judge’s chair.

But that’s not our chair.

This Sunday, Genesis 50, Romans 14, and Matthew 18 confront us with one theological question: Who has the right to judge?

Christian forgiveness does not call evil good. It does not erase consequences or eliminate wise boundaries. It confesses that judgment belongs to the crucified and risen Lord – and that our own impossible debt has already been answered by the blood of Jesus.

Come hear the King’s verdict: Forgiven. Righteous. Mine.
